Disability Standards for Education 2005

The Education Standards provide a framework to ensure that students with disability are able to access and participate in education on the same basis as other students.  The Education Standards do this by providing clarity and specificity for education and training providers and for students with a disability.

This site provides information and resources about learning disabilities (LD). A learning disability can affect the way in which a person takes in, remembers, understands and expresses information. People with learning disability are intelligent and have abilities to learn despite difficulties in processing information.

Teaching Students with Particular Impairments:

Australian Disability Clearinghouse on Education and Training (ADCET) fact sheet lists a range of inclusive teaching strategies that can assist all students to learn but there are some specific tips that are useful in teaching a group which includes students with particular disabilities.
