Info for Students - Student Wellbeing and Remote Learning survey (SWiRL)

SELT paused in 2020

The Student Experience of Learning and Teaching (SELT) survey is an essential tool to improve your student experience by allowing you to provide feedback on your classes. Your feedback helps teachers improve the way courses are taught and how decision makers at the ANU invest resources to support learning.

Due to COVID-19 related disruptions, SELT is being suspended until further notice so we can check in with students through the new Student Wellbeing and Remote Learning survey, or SWiRL.

We’ve made this change to focus on what the ANU can do to support our community (students and teachers) and grow our capacity for remote teaching and learning.

SWiRL focuses on getting a sense of what is working for students and what needs to be worked on. The survey works best if we hear from as many students in our diverse community as possible, as this information helps ANU teachers and managers plan for Semester 2.

Responses to SWiRL will help the ANU to plan the path beyond COVID-19, such as working out how to resource future teaching and learning strategies.

Following initial design work, the survey has moved into the consultation phase in anticipation of deployment in mid-May.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about SWiRL, please contact the Evaluations team via evaluations@anu.edu.au.
