Types of mentoring:
Non-academic

I believe mentoring is important because it can reduce stress and increased job satisfaction and career success rates that can have a long lasting effect.

I left my academic research niche and sort work interstate in a global financial crisis. 400 people were applying to the same jobs and grants as me. I had to learn how to jump out as the icing on the top of the cake and I did. Over my career I have won job offers in Academia, Government, not-for profit, University professional roles, industry engagement and more. I also helped gain two federal infrastructure grants and lots of other funding types. I’m keen to share these skills and insights. I am passionate about enabling people to be successful and lead a better future.
