Types of mentoring:
Academic

I believe mentoring is important because finding one’s way is less difficult when there’s someone to talk to.

I am a senior fellow in the RSHA at ANU and professor in English at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany. I direct the Critical Thinking Program of the Academy in Exile at the Freie Universität Berlin, which provides fellowships to scholars at risk. My research and teaching deals with historical reenactment, migration and exile, comparative genocide studies, memory studies, nature writing, and VR. I wear a lot of different hats.

Mentoring topics:

  • Balancing life and work
  • Interdisciplinary research
  • LGBTIQ+ issues
  • International employment opportunities

*This Mentor prefers remote mentoring via electronic communication.
