Types of mentoring:
Academic

I believe mentoring is important because the right advice, at the right time, can make all the difference.

In addition to being a senior research academic, I have extensive experience in leadership and service roles, including national and international committees and governance boards. I assess bout $250Mil in proposals each year (worldwide) and sit on panels and experts for Singapore and NZ. I am the Editor-in-Chief of a journal, as well as a member of 4 other editorial boards. I have organised conferences and symposiums, both nationally and internationally, and been the judge for various awards. I chair my School’s tenure track recruitment committee and panel, and our professional development program, and have previously been on numerous promotion and conversion panels. I have worked in three countries, both at universities and national laboratories. I collaborate nationally and internationally, both with academics and industry.
