I believe mentoring is important because starting and sustaining a career in academia can be daunting, It can be very helpful to discuss concerns and questions in collegial manner and in all confidence with an ANU colleague who knows the university and is not your supervisor or a direct colleague in your School.

I have been an academic at the ANU for more than 25 years and have during these years been located at College of Asia and the Pacific (CAP), the College of Arts and Social Sciences and now the College of Business and Economics (CBE). I teach international business courses and do research in the fields of international business, business history, development economics and economic history. I currently represent CBE academic staff at the ANU Academic Board.
