I believe mentoring is important because to help us find our own path it can be helpful to learn from the paths of others, and to discuss together shared and diverse experiences in a supportive environment to figure out where we want to go in the future.
I came to ANU in 2014 from the US, where I have experience working with government and nongovernment organisations and the private sector. My research and collaborations are internationally-based, where I work with teams of scientists to support local communities. I am passionate about inclusive team dynamics that support equity and recognise the contributions and support the future development of all team members. I have learned a lot from different mentors sharing different experiences, and believe in continually sharing with and learning from others.
