ANU Venue Hire

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Venue booking form. This form has been digitalised and designed with our clients in mind and structured to utilise data to enable a better client experience and gain a better understanding of room usage and needs.

Please see the new form link on the righthand side of this page. We welcome your feedback on this new form and the general booking process to continuously improve our service to our customers.

To give feedback please use Teaching Space IT Support Service Feedback link

New after-hours technical support is now available for the 330 centrally timetabled teaching spaces with AV increasing support hours by 3.5 hours a day. Staff in these rooms can now receive support from 7:00am to 7:30pm, Monday – Friday. This additional service is provided through a partnership between IT Services (ITS) and Teaching Support Services Team (TSST).

For assistance staff can dial 612 54321, follow the prompts. Alternatively, staff can dial 612 50004. The relevant extension will be displayed on the support poster as you enter the room.

Book a Venue

Step one:

  • If you would like to book a teaching space, you can view the list of Central Teaching Spaces. This details the room type, capacity, available facilities, and pictures of the room layout so that you can locate the most suitable venue for your event.
  • There are a range of venues on campus, including:
    • Computer labs (PC or MAC)
    • Flat teaching spaces (tutorial/seminar) with movable furniture
    • Tiered lecture theatres with fixed furniture

Step two:

  • Fill in the Venue HIre Request Form with details of the booking. Once completed the form will be automatically submitted to the Venue Hire team and you will receive a confirmation email of your request. Please note the form submission email is not a confirmation of booking. The Venue Hire will send you a separate booking confirmation email.
  • If any further details are required from you, or the chosen room/date/timeslot are unavailable, the Venue Hire team will contact you via the email used to submit the form.
  • You may be required to fill in the Function on campus eForm before the actual event is approved to take place. Functions on Campus (FoC) is the application process for holding functions on University grounds and within University facilities. Review the FoC webpage to learn more.
  • The Venue Hire team will send through a booking confirmation once the booking has been entered into the system.
    • This email will contain a link and QR code for feedback. The form will ask two questions regarding your experience in using the form. The Venue Hire team welcomes all feedback particularly about the:
      • new digitalised Venue Hire Request Form,
      • booking process in general,
      • knowledge and service provided by the Venue Hire team, or
      • if the feedback does not concern the Venue Hire team but rather one of our service partners, we will pass on your feedback to deliver the best end-to-end service.

At the Division of Shared Services, we pride ourselves on always striving for continuous improvement, as well as our ability to adapt to client needs.

Your feedback could enact the next improvement in our service.

The event organiser must read and agree to comply with the ANU Venue Hire Terms and Conditions at the time of the Application for Venue Hire (AVH) submission.

ANU reserves the right to cancel or amend any booking.
