Residents

Residents may apply for either a resident surface parking permit or a resident parking station permit for the Acton campus (subject to availability). Eligibility for permits depends upon which Residential Hall or College you live in.

Residents cannot purchase a student surface parking permit.

Visitors to Residential Halls and Colleges can park in any paid parking area on campus. If parking during business hours (8.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday) visitors will need to pay to park using CellOPark PAYG or Pay and Display.

Applying for a permit

As always, priority for car spaces is given to returning residents who are renewing their 2016 permit, followed by those on the waiting list. After residents on the waiting list have been offered spaces, the remaining resident car spaces are allocated on a 'first-come, first-served' basis.

Residents are encouraged to apply for a permit before the start of the academic year. If you arrive on campus with a car and no permit, there is no assurance that you will have access to resident parking areas. Please note that permits sell quickly.

You can apply to be added to the waiting list for 2017 permits by contacting the Parking Office.

Please note that residents can only park in their designated parking area and resident parking permits are not valid in other parking permit areas on campus.

Please note: Access to the Dickson and Kingsley parking station requires security activation. Consequently, access may not be available until the next business day after a parking station permit has been purchased.

Payment

The only payment option is 'pay in person'. You will need to either attend the Parking Office to pay for your permit, or you can pay over the phone by calling 6125 0179 or 6125 3649.
