Mt Stromlo is the headquarters of The Australian National University's Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics (RSAA). It is one of two key sites for the School, the other at Sliding Spring, near Coonabarabran, NSW.
The Heritage Trail includes 12 interpretive signs which combined provide a comprehensive history of the Mt Stromlo Observatory.
You will learn about the history and scientific aspects of this interesting place, while taking in the natural beauty of Mount Stromlo, and the stuffing views over Canberra.
The trail will take approximately 30 minutes to complete by foot. Please note, some areas of the trail are not sealed.
