Library Seminar Room

The Seminar Room holds up to 40 people based on theatre style seating.

The room is equipped with power point, Internet access, DVD, CD and Skype, sound system all presented via large format video projection. The PC and equipment is compatible with the use of Microsoft Windows applications only. Those wishing to use Apple Mac or other formats must notify NARU staff beforehand and arrange their own hardware and software facilities if NARU cannot facilitate such applications.

The room is self-catering with a large, fully equipped kitchenette. Tea, coffee, milk, mints and spring water are included in the hire rate. There are tea/coffee mugs and drinking glasses to cater for 40 people. It is the responsibility of seminar room users to provide all food, drink and other consumables.

Terms & conditions

  1. The seminar rooms are available for hire to researchers and the general public from 8am to 6pm Mondays to Fridays.
  2. Researchers or organisations wishing to use the seminar rooms outside these times, or for extended periods of time, must first consult with the NARU Operations Manager via naru@anu.edu.au.
  3. The cost to hire the room is $190 per full day, or $95 for half a day (4 hours) including GST. A $150.00 fee is applicable for seminar room cancellations with less than five working days’ notice– this applies whether or not the usage was to be free of charge. All telephone calls made from the seminar room and kitchenette will be charged at cost.
  4. NARU does not provide administration services such as printing, telephone/reception services, catering, stationery supplies etc. All users must be self-sufficient and ensure all materials and printing required for workshops, conferences etc are provided at their own cost. Urgent/unforeseen printing may be provided at 10c p/black copy and 40c p/colour copy.

Note: Car parks on campus are limited, the nearest other car parking options are at Charles Darwin University, or along Ellengowan Drive.
