Tasman came to ANU in 2009 to study Indonesian and Politics. After graduating in 2013, he did a short stint in a Federal MP's office before returning to ANU to study a Juris Doctor. He balances study with work as SCAPA's Government Relations Officer.
During his time at the University he has directed plays, hosted and coordinated Woroni radio, was Social Officer of the ANU Students' Association in 2010, and Vice-President in 2013. He took a break from the University in 2011, studying in Indonesia and writing a 10,000-word thesis in Indonesian about a bridge.
