Jamie is responsible for leading the team tasked with developing informative multimedia content that promotes the activities and operations of the University to external and internal communities.
This work encompasses the full spectrum of multimedia production, from developing individual stories through to campaigns, producing quality photography, video and graphics for ANU publications, social media, websites, ANU TV and edX MOOCs as well as the operation of the LiveU broadcast commentary service.
Jamie works closely with academics to make their research accessible to a broad audience both nationally and internationally. He also ensures the smooth delivery of image rich corporate communication from the University Executive and other service areas.
Since the mid 1990s Jamie has worked in news media, strategic communications and the higher education sectors. Prior to ANU, Jamie worked for the International Security Assistance Force (the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation’s mission to Afghanistan) as a consultant. He was awarded NATO’s highest honour, the Meritorious Service Medal in 2008. Jamie holds a BA in Asian Economic Development from LaTrobe University and a Graduate Diploma in Communications (awarded with Distinction) from Queensland University of Technology.
