Strategic Communications and Public Affairs (SCAPA) are the University's central point for corporate, internal and external communication, media relations, community engagement, public lectures and outreach, government relations, Executive briefings for participation in events, and VIP visits and protocol.

We work closely with ANU academics to provide support and training in the area of media engagement including live contribution to broadcast. We produce the ANU Reporter magazine, the University's Annual Report and the On Campus for Staff, On Campus for Students and Experience ANU newsletters. We also manage the ANU Newsroom website, Experience ANU website, the ANU Experts Guide and the ANU Channel on YouTube.

SCAPA manages major University events, including the Twilight Festival, ANU/Canberra Times Meet the Author series, Eat, drink and be literary series and the Lions Oratory. Our Multimedia team produces photography and videos for our publications, social media, websites, ANU TV on YouTube, MOOCs for ANUx operates the LiveU broadcast commentary service.
