The 2019 Internship round is now closed.
The Student Internship Program provides ANU students with practical experience in stakeholder engagement, project coordination, business analysis, software development and production support. The internships deliver formal mentoring, coaching and support, leveraging their existing abilities and providing opportunities to learn new skills and gain valuable workplace experience. Course credit can be provided in some situations.
The benefits of the internship program are not only received by the interns, but by the entire area. The student interns form a core component of our team, making up about half the FTE staff of our unit. They assist in every aspect of the business transformation journey, bringing with them fresh enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and grow with the team, and a diverse range of skills and experience from their work and studies. As the Interns are from the ANU student cohort, they also put our team in touch with one of our key customer groups within the university. This reinforces IDTC's customer-centric approach.
"Gaining exposure to the IT industry and digital innovation is such a valuable experience. Working within the multi-disciplinary team format as a student intern at IDTC not only strengthens my analytical skills but allows me to develop and learn new skills through knowledge sharing and teamwork." - Elizabeth Cowling, IDTC Intern
