Ms Jane Faure-Brac

Media Communications Officer

Jane cut her teeth in journalism as a TV reporter for Prime Local news in Orange where the Sydneysider learnt about wheat, sheep, wool and fruit-growing amongst other local issues. From there she leap-frogged to London where she turned her attention to international issues and global journalism, working for Worldwide Television News, Sky News and ultimately fulfilling her dream to work for the BBC.

Jane globe-trotted the world producing many of the seminal stories of her time for BBC including the NATO bombing of Kosovo, assassination of Hamas leader Sheik Yassin in Gaza, the Good Friday Northern Ireland Peace agreement brokered by Tony Blair and the election of US President George Bush jr. She then settled into BBC World producing their rolling TV world news bulletins. Before departing England, she crossed the line from journalism into PR and media relations for aid agency, CAFOD and resource efficiency Quango, WRAP.

Jane returned to Australia in 2012 where she traded all that for nappies, nursery rhymes and motherhood. She has returned to the workforce joining the ANU media team in April 2017.
