Research interests

Academic leadership and management, academic career and context, group dynamics, change management


Geoff contributes to courses and workshops within CHELT's Academic Professional Development program, convening the Academic Leadership & Management modules.


Geoff has held positions in Philosophy Departments in two universities, with publications in philosophical psychology and the philosophy of the social sciences. He has also worked as a counselling psychologist, with a period as Head of the University's Counselling Centre. Since 1999, he has worked largely in management education, teaching face-to-face and on-line courses in the Australian Graduate School of Management's Executive MBA and Graduate Certificate in Change Management.

Professional interests

In his work in CHELT, his focal interests have been the self-management and communication skills involved in teaching, research and academic leadership & management.
