Pamela Hutchinson

Communications Officer

Pamela Hutchinson joined the ANU Communications and Engagement (ACE) team in 2022 after graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2021 with a Master of Global Media Communication. 

While studying for her master’s degree, Pamela undertook several internships in communications and public relations. Highlights include a research internship at the Climate Council as part of her graduate coursework, investigating how influencers communicate climate change messages on social media. Pamela also undertook an internship at the National Gallery of Victoria where she provided administrative and publicity support to the Media and Public Affairs team.  

Prior to making the move to Melbourne, Pamela completed a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of International Relations at ANU in 2018. She then completed Honours in English Literature in 2019. Her thesis examined the impact of the First World War on the poetry and novels of D. H. Lawrence. 

While at ANU, Pamela worked as an administration assistant at the Humanities Research Centre and as a student ambassador for the College of Arts and Social Sciences.
