Madeline (Maddie) has been with ANU since 2015 and joined the ANU Communications and Engagement team at the start of 2020 to support communications during the smoke, hail and pandemic crises. Prior to this, she held roles in Facilities & Services administration, Human Resources project support and communications, and Graduations coordination.
She is skilled in introducing innovative solutions to improve the user experience and ensure that communications are going to the right people, at the right time, with the right message.
In 2020, she was responsible for designing, building and maintaining the University’s webpages containing information about our response to COVID-19. Maddie also coordinated the communications relating to the proposal for returning our international students (‘pilot program’) and developed the content for the COVID-19 advice ChatBot.
In her role as Corporate Communications Officer, Maddie supports the University’s strategic priorities through the development and implementation of communications strategies and products.
Maddie is also the editor of the staff and student newsletter, On&Off Campus.
Maddie is partway through her Bachelor of Communications and Media and Bachelor of Laws at the University of Canberra, and has completed a short course in Adobe InDesign.
