Louise Adena is a graduate from The Australian National University (ANU) with a Bachelor of Arts specialising in Ancient History and Bio-Anthropology. In Louise’s early career, she worked at the Australian War Memorial managing the Friends of the Memorial Program – connecting members to the Nation’s wartime collection – and was part of the First World War centenary team.
Louise returned to ANU in 2014, holding positions in the Philanthropic Scholarship team and Alumni Relations. In 2017, Louise joined the strategic communications division in the VIP visits role, before commencing in the Internal Communications role in January 2018. As part of this role, Louise was responsible for managing internal communications, crisis communications and major events including Canberra Moon Week, the university traditions and Vice-Chancellor communications. In 2020, Louise stepped into the Senior Strategic Advisor role, managing the University’s response for COVID-19 and the ANU Recovery.
In 2021, Louise commenced a new role, sitting jointly between ANU Communications & Engagement (ACE) and the Office of the Vice-Chancellor (OVC) to provide specialised communications advice for the Vice-Chancellor and Chancellor.
