Ed O’Daly is the director of the ANU Communications and Engagement division.

He has an extensive background in communications and public affairs in the university sector, having worked previously as part of the team at ANU and held senior communications roles at the University of Canberra. More recently, Ed was director of the Government Communications Unit in the ACT Chief Minister’s Office and then director of communications for Transport Canberra and City Services in the ACT Government. He has also worked as a journalist in the UK and as an English teacher in China.

He has an undergraduate degree economics, government and social policy from the University of Manchester and a postgraduate certificate in communications from the University of Canberra.
